One time, last year, someone did something stupid and I posted about it in my El Jay and like twenty people commented and a bunch of them made sure to anonymously assure me that I was a bitch. And actually I think I've brought this up since then. I just looked at that and started laughing real hard. Thanks for the reminders, dudes!

We set a date for the wedding, October 21. All I can think about is Emily farting while we're standing up there. Or Tim. Or me. Someone is definitley going to fart.

For those of you who were familiar with the Country Day crowd, Jennifer Ross (her older brother is Joseph Ross, who was a classmate of mine) got shot on December 23rd as she was mugged downtown after leaving a debutante ball. She stayed in stable condition for a week but died this afternoon.
I know that it's not really fair that the only time affluent white people care about crime is when one of their own is victimized, but seriously. This shit is just getting out of hand. This is why we're armed. This is why people call us crazy right wing gun freaks. This shit happens within earshot of my house, or my workplace. Fucked up.

i am at the tattoo shop approximately 12 hours a day. tim is on the floor now, it's rad. i got the shark started. for those of you who don't know, the plan for my left leg is a big bull shark wrapped around my lower leg (linework completed) with big jap waves and a lotus being pulled apart in the water, and rocks and shit coming up my knee leading into the landscape scene with bonsai and more rocks featuring a japanese unicorn (they are called kirin) fighting a cobra. sweet. school starts in like a week and im glad. i have gotten addicted to mountain dew, and i cant stop listening to that fucking david cross cd, its so fucking funny.

someone actually made this righteously anonymous comment in my journal like two years ago and i just found it, and i think it's hilarious. seriously, do i actually still have a livejournal? a couple of years ago i was like "well i'll just keep it because it will be fun to look back on things a couple of years later" but really it's not so much "gee this is fun" as it is like "hey, this stinks. come over here and smell it too!!!" the hilarity of the fact that i still have one is compounded that people still make comments like that anonymously.

time for my monthly lj update. hmm what can i talk about this month so people still think i'm cool?

ok. for real? i'm not militant. i'm not ripping people's cigarettes out of their mouths and shit like that. i think i have like three sober friends that i see a lot. but im still straightedge, and i'm not fucking around. the tattoos and stuff? oh yeah! those are permanent. so if you want to go around claiming to be shit that you aren't, don't get all fucking pissed off when people react. i remember when you said you wanted to "network" and fucking know everybody and all that ridiculous shit, so i'm not surprised, i guess, but still. come on. growing up? i doubt it. is this another trendy phase for you? of course. you will plateau here until you find something that's cooler. you will use up your new hipster friends the same way you used up your edge friends. you will still complain about how you're "so lonely" all the time, only eventually they'll get sick of hearing it too, and you'll find even more people that are a step up on your social ladder.

this is important.

i have two puppies that need homes! they are appx. 4 months old. they are small beagle mixes. they were rescued from a sc animal control shelter that was going to put them down. we've fostered them and really enjoyed them but we're splitting up and we can't care for them alone. i don't mind splitting these dogs up if need be. they are happy together but have spent enough time apart that it won't traumatize them to be separated.
little deer is tan with a little black on his tail. he's in perfect health, with the exception of being on vitamin supplements since he was skinny as hell when we got him. he can already sit, stay, and we're almost to the point of being able to shake! we skipped the crate training and went straight for housetraining, and i'd say in maybe two weeks he'll be totally housebroken. he's been left alone for several hours at a time and is satisfied playing with his toys by himself for a long time as long as he gets walked a few times a day.
we also have his brother, gozer. we've put about $1800 dollars into this dog to get him all fixed up! he broke his leg at 11 weeks and has had an orthopedic surgery to repair the damage. he's out of the cast now and is recovering faster than anyone thought he would. this dog would be a really awesome addition to a house that had a bunch of people living in it -- he's super people friendly and loves to sit on laps. other than that, his only other health concerns are that he is also on vitamin supplements and he has a couple of hairless spots on one ear from some ringworm.
each dog would come with everything he needed -- a bag of food, treats, his toys, his vitamins, and in gozer's case, betadine wipes for at home treatment of the ringworm spots and a bottle of Rimadyl, a veterinary painkiller.

also trying to sublet the apartment. 1 bed, 1 bath, with study, corner of whitaker and taylor streets. its badass, 850 a month. wish i could stay.
